HUNTERSVILLE – A Saturday, Oct. 7, gala will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Lake Norman Community Health Clinic (LNCHC), which offers free services to residents with no insurance and no access to affordable healthcare. The event will also raise funds to expand services with planned additions to the clinic on Hunters Road in Huntersville including a dental clinic, lab and office space. Dr. David Cook began seeing patients in the back of a local grocery store in 1998, and worked with April Cook, his wife at the time, to formally launch the clinic in a church basement in 2001 with the support of four local churches. LNCHC served 1,605 residents in 2022.

The gala, presented by Novant Health, will be 6 to 11 p.m. at Sweet Magnolia Estate on Bailey Road in Cornelius. Tickets are available at lnchc2023.givesmart.com. For details, call 704-965-4894 or email [email protected]
